American Country Decor
- American country style that stresses antiques and folk art, basically pieces and fabrics from America's past.
- Simple designs originating from the earliest settlers in America during the Early Colonial period (see above). These pieces are very simple and often rough in design. This charming style is still very popular today.
- A rustic and simplistic furniture style incorporating common woods in wide planks and larger logs for durable function in rural America.
- The furnishing and decoration of a room
- The decoration and scenery of a stage
- interior decoration: decoration consisting of the layout and furnishings of a livable interior
- The style of decoration of a room, building
- Interior design is a multi-faceted profession in which creative and technical solutions are applied within a structure to achieve a built interior environment.

The movie American Graffiti was filmed in Petaluma, and every year, they have a tribute to American Graffiti classic car show. The cars are incredible - beautifully restored examples of vintage cars from the 1920's through the 1980's. Classic 1960's corvettes, 1950's Bel Air, etc. They have great food, and live doo-wop music. Petaluma is also the gateway to Sonoma wine country. I'd highly recommend a trip there.
Self-critique -
- There's some reflection on the orange areas - should have used a polarizer.
- should have backed up a bit as to not cut off the lower part of the orange decor.
365.56: 4th of July
This marks my 8th year celebrating the independence of my home country... in the country that we are celebrating our independence *from*. We went to a local American diner and had rootbeer floats. Between Grease on the widescreen tv, the jukebox playing Frank Sinatra and the decor, I felt right at home. Until I looked out the window.
